Charlie Cridlan

Set & Costume Designer

Charlie Cridlan is a set and costume designer working across theatre, opera, dance, live events and exhibitions. Charlie trained at Camberwell College, the University of Kent and Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where she received The John Elvery Prize for Theatre Design. Her training and experience have taught her to think in precise detail about form, environment and its effect on audience leading her to create dynamic unusual environments and installations which explore fabric, light and colour.

Charlie has received Best Design Offie nominations for Once Upon a Time at The Adelphi and Liars Market. At the Vaults Festival 2018, Caravan, which she had designed, received the People’s Choice Award.

Innovation, Diageo and Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Additionally, her work has been exhibited at the V&A in Gormley to Gaga, Transformation & Revelation Design for Performance and appears in publications: Make Space, Time & Space and Eleanor Vale; a small community with a big idea.
