Denise Crowley
Musical Director
Denise Crowley is a Musical Director from Cork, Ireland. She graduated from the MTU Cork School of Music with a first-class honour Master’s degree in piano performance and conducting. Her credits as an Assistant Musical Director include Starlight Express (Wembley Troubadour), Grease (Dominion Theatre), Waitress (UK and Ireland Tour), Angela's Ashes (UK and Ireland Tour) and Cruel Intentions (The Other Palace). Denise was also part of the music team on the Rocky Horror 50th Anniversary Tour. She deps on Jersey Boys, both in the West End and on the UK Tour (Keys 1). Denise was also Musical Director on the 2022 Cork Opera House Panto. Denise was the rehearsal pianist and cover conductor on Opus Pocus, working closely with the BBC orchestras and Greg Arrowsmith to bring classical music to children around the UK. While in Ireland, she also worked as the resident Keys 2 player for the RTE Concert Orchestra from 2018 through to 2021.
As an accompanist and coach Denise has worked in many of Ireland’s leading Performing Art Schools including Montfort’s College of Performing Arts and Ireland’s first Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre course in MTU. Denise has worked on numerous productions with a number of companies throughout Europe including Cenerentola (Lyric Opera Studio Weimar) Carmen, Die Fledermaus (FIO Italia) Cosi fan tutte (Lismore Opera Festival) and Faust, La Traviatta, La Boheme, Pagliacci, H.M.S. Pinafore and The Marriage of Figaro (Cork Operatic Society).
