Emily Mytton
Movement Director
Emily's work as a Movement Director stems from her training with Jacques Lecoq in Paris and from her extensive experience in making theatre for the last 20 years.
As Movement Director, Emily's work includes Melly Still's Cymbeline at the RSC and several screen projects such as NBC Universal’s Brave New World and ITV's The Frankenstein Chronicles. Emily was Performance Director for Somnai, dotdotdot’s massive launch show which combined live performance with virtual reality and other technologies.
She has also directed large-scale live projects for commercial clients including H&M, Google, IBM and GlaxoSmithKlein.
Emily was Writer and Associate Director for The Third Day : Autumn, a 12 hour live film produced by Sky and HBO in partnership with Plan B Entertainment, Punchdrunk and writer Dennis Kelly. The film was awarded the RTS Award for best Live Event in 2021 and the DQ Daily award for Drama Craft at the C21 International Drama awards 2020. It was nominated for a BAFTA in 2021.
Her credits as an Assistant and Associate Movement Director include the National Theatre's War Horse, The London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony with Toby Sedgewick and Danny Boyle, The 39 Steps in the West End and As you Like It, for The National Theatre's Public Acts.
Emily also has experience as puppetry director including work on Melly Still's production of 'The Lovely Bones' Uk tour and West End.
