Jamie Neale has been a transformative international award-winning choreographer/director since entering the industry as a creative; he works across multi-entertainment platforms of Theatre, Fashion, Music & TV. His multiple award-winning piece Defiance enabled him to win at prestigious competitions Burgos/New York Choreographic Competition & Belgrade International Choreographic Festival.
Choreographer. Director. Collaborator. Jamie is one of the most exciting creative minds around. What makes Jamie successful is his experience of working across disciplines – across diverse media, styles and working environments. Jamie’s work speaks for itself. It’s fresh and original. But Jamie speaks for his work too. He is highly proactive, kind-spirited and passionate about every project he does. It means that everyone who meets and works with Jamie – whether a director, client or production company – is assured that their project is in safe hands.
Most recently he’s worked on sell-out productions of The Secret Garden at the Ambassadors Theatre, West End which has been nominated for Best choreography by Broadwayworld and Queen of Spades at the Opera Holland Park has been nominated for outstanding achievement in a new opera production, both of which had rave reviews. Prior to this Jamie was asked to choreograph on the TV Hit Show So You Think You Can Dance with his spectacular contemporary routine entitled “The Theory of Everything”.
At the beginning of Jamie’s creative journey he was selected to be part of the choreographic project Young Creatives, directed and mentored by Wayne McGregor at the Royal Opera House. The resulting piece was created collectively and culminated in a performance at the Anya Linden Studio Theatre, as well as the Royal Opera House Linbury Studio. The piece was called Social Indulgence.
