Katy Richardson

Musical Director

Katy was most recently the musical director for five-time Olivier nominated SIX the musical, at the Lyric Theatre, West End. She is also the associate musical supervisor for SIX (UK) and SIX (Australia).

Katy is a proactive and innovative musical director with a broad knowledge of music and musical theatre, and a proven ability to produce results. Katy graduated from the University of Leeds in 2014 with a First in Music before training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Katy teaches at RAM, LAMDA, Urdang, and the ICMT. She also works as an audition pianist and private repertoire coach.


SIX received five 2019 Olivier Award Nominations including Best New Musical and Outstanding Achievement in Music. SIX was also awarded ‘Best West End Musical’ at the 2020 What’s On Stage Awards and ‘Best Off-West End Production’ at the 2019 What’s On Stage Awards.
