Katy Weir

Director

Katy is a Director from the North East of England. She graduated from Bretton Hall in 2005 and since then has developed a diverse portfolio of work both nationally and internationally. She is associate artist with National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and The Market Theatre Laboratory, Johannesburg. 

Most Notable work includes 'When the boat comes in' , the world premier of the famous 1970's TV show which used to air to over 15 million viewes  and 'Encountering the Other', an international work exploring womanhood around the world that was selected for the British Council Connect ZA award. 

Katy is currently associate lecturer at Northen School of Art and is co-directing 'Cinderella: A Fairytale' at Northern Stage, Newcastle.
