Kevan Frost


Kevan grew up in Nigeria and returned to his homeland of England at 14 years of age. He soon joined 5 different bands, playing a different instrument in each of them. He got his break in the pop world playing lead guitar for Des'ree and also played bass guitar for Howard Jones and Kim Wilde. He met Boy George soon after and joined his band in 1995.

Since then, Kevan has been both a writer and producer with George and many other artists including, Mica Paris, Shalamar, Rose Royce, Gloria Gaynor, Kim Wilde, Howard Jones, Mark Feehily and Mark Ronson.

He wrote 15 songs with Boy George for the Original Version of Taboo and 21 songs for the Broadway Production. As well as arranging vocals and playing for Boy George's album ''This Is What I Do''along with Culture Clubs album ''Tribes''. This earned him a nomination for a Tony Award for "Best Original Score" and a Drama Desk Award for "Outstanding Music". Time magazine called the Broadway Score "The Best in Years". He has also worked as the producer of the UK and Broadway Cast albums and produced the album for ‘Luv Ester’. Kevan is the co-composer for 'Hoods' The Musical, and wrote music for the 'Prodigals' musical. He also produced all music for Matt Lucas 'Pompidou' BBC Series.

Kevan runs his own studio in south east London and continues to write and produce for many artists. Kevan plays most of the instruments on all his productions.

Music director credits include: Shalamor, Rose Royce and Odessey. He was also a bass and music director for Mica Paris.

He is currently a band member for Boy George and Culture Club and has coached artists such as Mark Ronson and Mica Paris.
