Sarah Day

Dramaturg

Sarah trained at Arts Educational Schools London on the 3 year Musical theatre BA(Hons) degree course.

Since graduating, Sarah has been part of some wonderful shows including The Calendar Girls Musical (Original Cast), Singin’ in the Rain (Pitlochry Festival Theatre), Annie get your Gun (Union theatre) and also played the lead role, Rose, in Chris Bond’s original musical The Romford Rose (Queens Theatre, Hornchurch).

Her love of exploring characters and text lead her to writing original scripts and producing original films. After Sarah Everard’s murder, Sarah felt compelled to write Vigilant to raise awareness for women’s safety. Vigilant has been screened at festivals worldwide, including the BIFA qualifying Manchester Film Festival.

Sarah is soon to be assisting Broadway writer, Kate Wetherhead, with the script for the UK premier of The Devil Wears Prada.

Sarah has also been a key role in the workshop process for the brand new production of Burlesque, and will continue working with writer, Steven Antin, as Dramaturg for the show’s World Premier in Spring 2024.
